Hawaii Vacation Tips - Retals versus Hotels

Dreaming about setting foot in beaches such as Three Tables Beach, Pipeline Beach and Sunset Beach in Oahu? Hawaii has long been a prime choice of destination among many sweethearts and newlyweds. However, this does not mean you cannot take your family with you on a trip to the island. Despite the fact that there are a lot of hotels you can choose from, it is a good idea to look for Hawaii Vacation Rentals. If you are unsure about this though, here are some things you need to consider to help make your decision easier.

Your Length of Stay
If you are planning to go to Hawaii for just a night or two, it is better to choose a hotel than getting a rental home. This is because these homes come with additional expenses such as cleaning deposits.

Number of People in Your Family
Because there are several hotels which have a room capacity, choosing a hotel over Hawaii Vacation Rentals is not a good idea. This is because you will end up paying for more rooms than the price of a rental home. While there is an option for paying for an extra bed, it is still better to get a rental home which can accommodate the number of people in your family. At the same time, this will help strengthen your bond with your kids.

Cooking Your Own Meals
One of the advantages of getting a rental home is that they usually come prepared with fully stocked kitchens. As a result, these homes give you an ability to save money because you prepare your own meals. You can avoid spending too much money dining in the expensive restaurants, especially if you have a large family. While you have the option of eating in places such as Lei Lei's Restaurant and Kua'Aina Burger, cooking your own meals will allow you to save money!

Another factor you have to consider is the cleanliness of the home. Although you will be charged with a cleaning deposit, it is your job to keep the home clean at all times. The owner of the rental home will only deploy his maintenance crew after you leave. For this, you will have to clean up after each day.

If this is not a problem for you, there are no further reasons why you should not opt for Hawaii Vacation Rentals. With the amount of money you get to save in this accommodation option, you can afford to buy an extra day in the beautiful island!

  2. Plus it helps people instead of large businesses. Rentals help families make a little extra money sometimes. It's good to help each other out.

  4. I guess it all really comes down to how pampered you want to be. I like the idea of pretty much having your own "house" when you travel, but room service sure is a cool thing too!

  10. We have been looking to live a low income, minimalist life style and have been learning that Hawaii might be a decent place to stay rather than simply visit.

It gets real cheap around the volcanoes especially! No surprise there of course, but surprisingly nobody has really died there from eruptions. We would probably still not live that close. :P

This might be good to go check it out before any major decisions though, thanks. (:

  23. I've been to Oahu once, and I didn't like it very much. Maui and Kauai are the best islands, in my opinion. I'm not really a hotel/resort kind of person though. Definitely into the cook your own food at the condo scene.

    Thanks for the tips though.

  24. Man, would be so nice if I had the money to get over there. A crazy ex-gf of mine and I were going to move and live there for a few years but thank god that fell through, probably would have turned out badly, haha.
